MAZZEI® INJECTOR COMPANY, LLC is the world leader in mixing and contacting technologies. Mazzei began in 1978 with its patented Venturi injectors for irrigation chemigation and fertigation. Since then, the company has grown, expanded and developed solutions to water and wastewater problems in the municipal, industrial and agriculture markets… solutions to disinfection and sanitation problems for all markets including pools and spas… and has developed an improved method for wine pump-over aeration. Mazzei continues researching and developing improvements to technology for mixing and contacting to develop solutions to the problems facing us today and tomorrow.
Mazzei is proud to offer the best Venturi injectors for transferring and mixing liquids (such as chlorine, disinfectants and fertilizers) and gas (such as ozone, oxygen and air) into solution, but efficient and effective injectors are just the start. Mazzei’s GDT™ Ozone Contacting System offers a two-phase process where after the initial mass transfer of ozone through a Mazzei Venturi injector, the solution is then sent through a patented Mazzei Flash Reactor™ for further mass transfer and high velocity mixing. Finally, the fluid flows through a patented Mazzei GDT Degas Separator for entrained gas removal where the undissolved gases move to a Degas Relief Valve and are piped to an Ozone Destruct Unit for safe venting to the atmosphere. Each GDT system is custom engineered for high mass transfer efficiency and conveniently assembled on a compact skid frame.
Mazzei AirJection® Wastewater Aeration System circulates wastewater through Mazzei Venturi injectors creating a vacuum to draw ambient air or concentrated oxygen into the wastewater. The aerated process water is then discharged back into the tank through patented Mazzei Nozzles for additional oxygen/air transfer and mixing resulting in effective aeration, BOD/TOC reduction, and odor control in ponds, lagoons or tanks of any depth – there is no maximum depth limitation for the use of this system.
A line of patented Mazzei Venturi injectors – Venturi AirJectors – was developed to improve crop yields and efficiency of water and fertilizer use. The AirJectors are used as part of a subsurface drip irrigation system to get the right amount of air to the root zone. Without air, soil can become anaerobic which inhibits plant growth and yield.

Congratulations to Mazzei's Srikanth Pathapati, Ph.D. on being honored by the ASCE!
The 2013 Rudolph Hering Medal, which recognizes outstanding papers that contribute to the advancement of the environmental branch of the engineering profession, was presented to Dr. Pathapati and Dr. John Sansalone, P.E. Sri is Director, CFD Analysis and Engineering at Mazzei.
