Post-Treatment Aeration

Many wineries discharge their treated water into public water ways. Current or future permits require minimum dissolved oxygen levels in the discharge water to be 5-7 mg/l. The Mazzei AirJection® Process is ideal for introducing air or oxygen into effluent basins or piping. Treated effluent is pumped from an effluent basin or directly from the effluent piping through Mazzei Injector(s) which aspirates either air or concentrated oxygen without the need for blowers and compressors. The concentrated oxygen source can be LOX or a PSA type concentrator. The resulting effluent and air/oxygen mixture is then discharged back into the effluent basin or piping through Mazzei MTM™ mixing nozzles which thoroughly mix the sidestream with the main effluent flow.
