How it Works

1. Many WWTP's discharge their treated water into public water ways. Current or future permits require minimum dissolved oxygen levels in the discharge water to be 5-7 mg/l.

2. The Mazzei AirJection^® Process is ideal for introducing air or oxygen into effluent basins or piping. Treated effluent is pumped from an effluent basin or directly from the effluent piping through a Mazzei^® Injector(s) which aspirates either air or concentrated oxygen with out the need for blowers and compressors. The concentrated oxygen source can be LOX or a PSA type concentrator.

3. The resulting effluent and air/oxygen mixture is then discharged back into the effluent basin or piping through Mazzei MTM mixing nozzles which thoroughly mix the sidestream with the main effluent flow.
